The Senior Project Engineer is the primary point of contact with the client and leads project teams typically comprise of the following positions: Superintendent, Project Coordinator, Foreman, Subcontractors. Your project’s dedicated Project Coordinator will prepare all project documentation for your review such as: Schedules, Meeting Minutes, Submittals, RFI’s, Change Orders, Payment Requisitions, Procurement. We have a strong pipeline of profitable projects with high profile clients. Our clients include Facebook, FedEx, Dish Network, LeFrak, Pratt, Barnard.
Responsibilities:
- Work under direction of Project Executive/PE to monitor/control/verify/report project construction compliance with engineering plans/contracts/state/local regulations & NYCDDC/NYCDOT/NYCDEP standards/specification & construction/safety standards
- Review blueprints/design drawings, create as-built drawings, implement site plans and monitor execution of specifications requirements
- Prepare/review/validate/implement project schedules/construction cost estimates/bidding, develop scope of work, and negotiate change orders based on contract documents/drawings
- Provide engineering calculations for survey of quantities, perform value engineering/estimates reconciliation to bring projects within budget & buy-out subcontractors
- Conduct calculations/analyses to validate results of concrete/asphalt & structural steel connection tests performed by third party inspectors
- Perform field inspection to monitor progress, review construction materials/methods, resolve changes in project cost/schedule/discrepancies
- Coordinate a cross-functional team from pre-construction through closeout of all projects
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management/Administration or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of advanced engineering mathematics/statistical & numerical analysis/project management.
- Familiar with NYCDDC/NYCDOT/NYCDEP standards/specification requirements/construction engineering/design & safety standards for residential/commercial/institutional projects.
- Strong skills in cost estimation/as-built drawings creation/structural analysis/blueprints & design drawings reading/interpretation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD/MS Project/Adobe Suite.
