King Rose was ecstatic to be selected to build this one of a kind Urban Garden Paradise. The scope of the work consisted of extremely delicate site work due Manhattan Schist bedrock and close proximity of apartment buildings that were built well over a hundred years ago. We constructed private bluestone patios for all of the garden facing apartments and a communal landscaped garden for all residents. The project scope also included the construction of a new one room building to house a package room for the residents. This package room took on a special significance due to the onset of the pandemic when receiving packages took on a much greater volume than in the past. The package room’s Amsterdam Avenue façade had the addition of a public piece of art by the sculpture Parke MacDowell. King Rose is grateful to the AIMCO team for the privilege of building this one of a kind space.
