We are New York City construction experts and are looking for a driven, skilled individual who can help manage and build commercial fit-out projects within the 5 boroughs of New York City.
We are currently looking for a working Foreperson to join our team. This position is responsible for site supervision, performing rough carpentry and ensuring compliance with architectural drawings.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Interior Renovation Construction, with a verifiable track record of completed projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing job priorities and assigning laborers to appropriate tasks.
- Perform layouts and material take-off as needed for carpentry and labor work.
- Perform metal stud framing and drywall installation
- Maintain clean jobsite and enforce safety/ project requirements.
- Making sure safety precautions are followed.
Requirements:
- Carpenter trade experience (e.g. Ability to lay out partitions)
- Ability to read drawings fluently and identify inconsistencies within drawings and specifications
- Teamwork and people skills along with the ability to represent the General Contractor at project meetings
